Tucked away in a quiet tree-lined cul-de-sac, Tanby Hall is our southern-most facility, not far from the ever-popular Rockingham Beach. Home to 52 residents and built as a low care hostel, now with ageing-in-place, Tanby Hall has a relaxed and informal approach to life but at the same time a vibrant zest for living. A special feature of Tanby Hall is the beautiful fish pond, set in lush garden surrounds and filled with large and colourful koi, otherwise known as 'brocaded' carp. Emanating peace and tranquility, these exotic fish are a pleasure to watch, entertaining visitors and residents as much as they delight.

A busy and lively family group, staff and residents alike enjoy regular barbeques, Friday concerts, bingo games and multicultural days, as well as visiting baby farm animals and pets. The petting zoo is a great attraction at Tanby, giving residents an opportunity to hold and cuddle the animals in a protected environment. The large activity room lends itself to a variety of uses, from ballroom dancing to church services; opening up onto the main courtyard, this room is the essential heart of the building. For those wanting a little quiet time, just down the hallway, a well-stocked library and sitting area opens up onto a flourishing rose garden.
